The Razzle Dazzle - Rasberry Lemonade Cocktail

I’ve been slacking on my cocktail game on this blog and for that I apologize. As my apology, I offer you the recipe for this incredibly delicious bev to kick off your weekend! It has a raspberry simple syrup and fresh lemon juice and is incredibly refreshing!

RECIPE - Razzle Dazzle - Raspberry Lemonade Cocktail, yields 2 drinks
TIME - 5 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 oz gin

  • 3 oz lemon juice

  • 1.5 oz Raspberry Simple Syrup

    • 1/2 cup water

    • 1/2 cup sugar

    • 1/2 cup raspberries

  • 1 6.8-oz bottle ginger ale

  • Ice

  • Raspberries for garnish

DIRECTIONS

  1. Make the raspberry simple syrup by combining 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup raspberries in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Smash raspberries with a spoon breaking them apart. Bring mixture to a boil and then reduce to a simmer for 15 minutes. Strain mixture and store in an air-tight container. Let cool before adding to drinks. (Can store leftover syrup for up to 1 month in a refrigerated air-tight container.)

  2. Combine gin, lemon juice, and raspberry simple syrup into a shaker with ice. Shake 30 seconds.

  3. Pour into glasses with ice. Top with ginger ale and fresh raspberries for garnish. Cheers!
